The 37th Annual Greek Festival at Baltimore's Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, held November 7-9, was serving up these classic Greek dishes alongside folk dances, a martini bar and a silent auction. The festival always attracts Greek and Greek immigrant families from the mid-Atlantic region, but according to Goucher professor of Communications and the festival's pro bono publicist, Gayle Economos, this year there were "more non-Greeks than we've ever had.

Just days before earning the title of Morgan State's Most Outstanding Morgan Man, Atlanta-by-way- of -Detroit native Marvin Carr sent in his letter of resignation from the position of Vice President of the Senior Class at Morgan State University.

The letter, dated November 12, 2008, cited multiple reasons for Carr's decision to step down from his position, most of them seemingly internal.

Saturday, November 22nd, Gilliam Concert Hall in the Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center was packed from the floor seats to the balcony, with hundreds of people wrapped around the building waiting to see Maxwell perform.

The concert began promptly at 8p.m. as Jazmine Sullivan took the stage singing her hit single, "Bust Ya Windows", a song about a woman getting revenge after suffering a broken heart.
