Last spring, AU celebrated national Men Can Stop Rape Week here at AU. It was a moving experience for a number of students and shed light on a topic that I would hope most of us have not experienced! But instead of Men Can Stop Rape "Week," maybe the "week" should be left off.

Writing about the issue of sexual assault can be a positive step forward in addressing stigmas and myths that still surround the issue, but it is important to describe campus resources and events accurately. Unfortunately Ms. Lincoln's lack of research again weakens her well-intentioned column.

Many students woke up Wednesday morning to find an e-mail from the Office of Information Technology in their inboxes. The e-mail was short and to the point - from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday, power and Internet service would be cut in a number of buildings on AU's campus.

I've always thought of Goucher as a very liberal place - that's why I came here. Since I've enrolled, I've learned that our administration is also very progressive: Sandy is part of the Amethyst Initiative, there's a strong recycling program, and we're in the midst of constructing a "green" building.

My Thanksgiving story is not G-rated. While at home in Dallas, Texas, over Thanksgiving break, my tire blew out on the freeway, and I had to have my car towed to a nearby service station.

Have you heard? Did you know? Oh my god, you won't believe this!
I hate gossip. It drives me insane, it's the root of all rumors, and only on occasion is it ethical.
At a small school like Goucher it is very easy to get consumed in the trivial drama of other people's lives and actions.

The CORE system at this school sucks. There's no snappy joke for that - it just sucks.

Dear Reader,
Well, the semester has come to an end. All of our griping about classes and whether it was too hot or too cold made things pass by quickly. Now there's nothing to do but take exams, send in final papers and head home for the holidays.
While the end of the semester always brings us one step closer to the terrifying prospect of graduation, this particular end to the semester is more resonant than most for yours truly.
